Certified Surgical First Assist – Cardiovascular OR
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assist with a minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular OR experience to join the surgical services team. This is a 13-week contract position based in Atlanta, GA, starting December 7, 2026.
Schedule
- 4 × 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week average)
- Minimum 70+ hours per four-week period
- Weekday shifts: 5 PM–11 PM and 11 PM–7 AM
- Weekend and holiday shifts: 7 AM–7 PM and 7 PM–7 AM
- One Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday shift per rotation (non-consecutive)
- Holiday rotation required, including surrounding weekends
- Float assignments to General OR as needed
Requirements
- Current CSFA certification
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
- Ability to work variable shifts and weekend/holiday rotations
- Flexibility for OR float coverage
What You'll Do
You'll assist surgeons in the cardiovascular operating room, providing first assist duties during cardiac and vascular procedures. You'll be part of a surgical team in a fast-paced, acuity-driven environment while maintaining the flexibility to support general surgical cases when needed.
