ICU / PCU Travel RN — Days | Laurinburg, NC | 13-Week Contract

This position is open to an experienced ICU Registered Nurse who is comfortable flexing between intensive care and progressive/stepdown units as needed. The role involves managing high-acuity adult patients in a critical care environment with a strong emphasis on cardiovascular, neurological, and multi-system disease management.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• CPI preferred

Clinical Scope

Candidates should be proficient in a broad range of critical care skills, including:

• Ventilator management and care of intubated patients
• Arterial line and central line management
• Vasoactive and cardiac drip titration
• CVVHD/CRRT
• Continuous IV sedation and paralytic management
• CVA/acute stroke management
• Post-cardiac surgery care and pre/post cardiac cath management
• Hypothermia protocol management
• Interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias
• Chest tube assistance, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC
• Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Electronic charting experience strongly preferred
• Valid RN license (state or compact)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Floating within the facility may be required
