Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) — RN
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Austin, TX
About the Role
You'll work in a high-acuity PICU managing critically ill pediatric patients across multiple specialties including neurology, renal, pulmonary, surgical, and medical cases. This is a fast-paced environment where clinical expertise and quick decision-making are essential.
Float Expectations: You may float to other critical care units (CVICU, NICU) as staffing needs require.
Requirements
- License: Current RN license (must verify through Nursys)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in pediatric specialty nursing
- Certifications: BLS and PALS required at hire

- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs; pediatric print tops permitted

Standard requirements include background check, drug screening, immunization verification (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, influenza), TB screening, fit testing, and facility-specific competency assessments.
