Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Morgantown, WV

13-Week Contract | Nights 7p–7a | ASAP Start

This acute care medical-surgical unit manages adult patients across a broad range of diagnoses and acuity levels. The team is known for a strong culture of teamwork, compassion, and evidence-based practice, supported by a robust interdisciplinary model that includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, IV teams, and social services.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12-hour nights (19:00–07:00), weekdays and weekends
• 13-week contract with possible extension
• Schedule requests are not guaranteed but the unit will make reasonable efforts to accommodate

Clinical Scope

Candidates should be comfortable managing patients with complex, varied diagnoses including CVA, renal failure, post-MI, substance withdrawal, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and ortho trauma. Expected clinical competencies include:

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• BiPAP/CPAP management, tracheostomy care, non-invasive airway management
• Chest tube, PICC line, and wound vac management
• IV insulin protocols, heparin drips, PCA management
• Pre/post hemodialysis and neurosurgery care
• Blood product administration

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license (pending accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (all AHA-issued)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility

Important

Attendance reliability is essential — the facility permits a maximum of 2–3 call-offs per contract. Candidates should be fully committed to their schedule before applying.

Scrubs are not provided by the facility.
