Med/Surg Telemetry — Travel RN | Rochester, NY | Nights

This is a night shift opportunity on a complex care unit serving medicine, orthopedic overflow, and long-term patients with high-acuity needs. The unit requires strong telemetry skills, comfort with a broad clinical scope, and prior charge nurse experience.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12-hour shifts
• 13-week contract | Start date: December 15, 2026
• Every other weekend required
• Float required: Yes

Clinical Scope

• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Rapid Response and Code team participation
• Temporary and permanent pacemaker care
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV management
• Heparin protocols and blood product administration
• Orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement care
• Surgical drain and tracheostomy management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and oxygen delivery
• Wound care and wound VAC therapy
• Feeding tube care and isolation precautions

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency in electronic charting is required

• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Scrub color: Navy bottoms, navy or white tops
