Labor & Delivery Nurse
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 36 or 48-hour options

About the Role
Join the labor & delivery team at the facility as a registered nurse providing coordinated, evidence-based care to pregnant patients, families, and newborns. You'll assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, implement clinical interventions, and collaborate with physicians, midwives, and support staff to ensure safe, compassionate outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze obstetric assessment data; identify diagnoses and care priorities
- Develop and implement care plans for laboring patients, including pain management and monitoring
- Provide fetal heart monitoring, patient education, and discharge planning
- Delegate and supervise nursing team members; coordinate interdisciplinary care
- Support families through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Evaluate patient progress toward clinical outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure (CA)
- Current BLS certification
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification
- At least 2 years recent acute care experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- L&D or obstetric experience
- Electronic health record experience
