ICU RN – Critical Care
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week contract assignment in a conglomerate critical care unit. You'll provide care across medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patient populations with the ability to float between ICU and Step Down settings.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Start date: November 29, 2026
Clinical Scope
This unit manages high-acuity patients across a broad spectrum of conditions and procedures, including:
- Cardiac interventions (TAVR, CABG, STEMI, coronary events)
- Neurological emergencies (CVA, TNK)
- Respiratory support (mechanical ventilation, HFNC, respiratory failure, ia)
- Advanced hemodynamic support (IABP, Impella, CRRT)
- Surgical cases (thoracotomy, CEA, fem-pop procedures)
- Critical illness (sepsis, DKA, GIB, hypoxic conditions, CHF)
- Specialized therapies (TTM, vent management)
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience
- Current RN license (verification required)
- ACLS/BLS certification
- Willingness to float within the critical care service line
- Standard credentialing requirements (background check, drug screen, immunizations, health screening)
What You'll Need
Before you start, you'll complete facility-specific onboarding including competency assessments, EKG exam, and system orientation.
