ICU Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in a conglomerate critical care unit. You'll work a day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and float between ICU and Step Down units within the critical care service line.
Clinical Scope
You'll manage high-acuity patients across medical, surgical, and cardiovascular specialties, including:
- Post-operative cardiac patients (TAVR, CABG, CEA)
- Acute neurological events (CVA, TIA)
- Coronary events (STEMI, TNK)
- Respiratory support (mechanical ventilation, HFNC, respiratory failure)
- Advanced hemodynamic support (IABP, Impella)
- Renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
- Critical care conditions (sepsis, DKA, GIB, ia, CHF)
- Targeted temperature management (TTM)
- Thoracotomy and peripheral vascular procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current RN license (verification required)
- ACLS/BLS certification
- Ability to float between ICU and Step Down assignments
- Flexibility to work within the critical care service line
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Start date: November 29, 2026
- Location: Waco, TX
