Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | McKinney, TX

This 13-week contract places you in a busy Emergency Department on the night shift (18:00–06:00), with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. An ASAP start is preferred.

The Unit

The ED manages a broad range of acuity levels with procedures and patient presentations typical of a high-volume emergency setting. You'll float within the department to cover ED patients being held for inpatient admission.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours/week
• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block; no on-call required

What You'll Need

• Active RN license in Texas (or compact eligibility)
• Prior ED experience with strong patient experience skills
• High energy, self-motivated, and collaborative personality

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC

Ideal Candidate

You're a confident ED nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well under pressure, and can hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time. Quick availability and flexibility with PTO during the contract period are strongly preferred.
