ICU Travel Nurse — Portsmouth, NH

This night-shift ICU position offers 13 weeks of full-time work in a well-supported critical care environment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 12 shifts per month (3 per week), 36 guaranteed hours
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Schedule is built around submitted time-off requests

Unit Overview

The ICU manages a high-acuity patient population with 24/7 support from mid-level providers, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists. PT/OT services are available during day hours. No CNAs or PCTs are on the unit, so nurses function independently at the bedside.

Procedures & Clinical Scope

• Intubation support
• Central line and arterial line placement
• Chest tube placement
• Titration of vasoactive and inotrope medications
• Telemetry management

Required Skills & Certifications

• Prior ICU experience required
• Strong telemetry skills
• Chest tube experience
• ACLS and BLS (current)

Preferred Experience

• Open heart/post-cardiac surgery care
• Temporary pacing
• Swan-Ganz catheter management

Additional Details

• Float: Rotation-based; travelers float first
• Bedside shift report completed at every shift change
• Scrubs: Any color accepted
