ICU Travel Nurse — Portsmouth, New Hampshire

This 13-week contract places you in a high-acuity ICU managing complex medical and surgical patients, including post-open-heart surgery cases, stroke patients, and trauma presentations. The unit is supported around the clock by mid-level providers, surgeons, and respiratory therapists, with PT/OT available on day shift.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (3 shifts/week)
• 4 weekend shifts per month
• Scheduling is built around your requested time off
• Travelers float first, on a rotation basis

Required Skills

• Strong telemetry skills
• Experience titrating vasoactive and inotropic medications
• Chest tube experience
• Previous ICU experience

Preferred Skills

• Open heart surgical experience
• Temporary pacing
• Swan-Ganz catheter management

Procedures Performed on Unit

• Intubation
• Central line and arterial line placement
• Chest tube placement

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
