Emergency Department RN — Asheville, NC

Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 16-Week Contract

This high-volume Emergency Department in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift travel assignment beginning October 2026.

The Unit

The ED serves a diverse, multicultural patient population across a broad range of acuities — from medical emergencies and behavioral health holds to stroke and trauma cases. The department is known for strong teamwork, a welcoming culture, and staff who take pride in serving a community that speaks over 120 languages.

Schedule & Float

• Every other weekend required
• No floating outside the ED; must be flexible to rotate across all sections within the department
• Block scheduling is not available

Required Certifications (prior to submission unless noted)

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC — required before submission
• TNCC — required before date of hire
• CPI — required before date of hire

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency environment strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to give and receive real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work all areas of the ED
