Stepdown / Med-Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Morgantown, WV
Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating weekends and holidays
Contract: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week

Unit Overview
This combined stepdown and medical-surgical unit cares for a cardiology-focused patient population, including heart failure, cardiac surgery, and general medicine/hospitalist cases. The unit's clinical scope includes drip titration, respiratory support, and continuous telemetry monitoring managed by dedicated tele techs.
Clinical Requirements
- Stepdown and Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required; cardiac experience strongly preferred
- Must be comfortable titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips including heparin, insulin, nitroglycerin, Cardizem, nicardipine, Lasix, amiodarone, and dobutamine
- Respiratory support modalities include nasal cannula, CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, and trach-to-vent patients
Required Certifications
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
Scheduling & Expectations
- Weekend requirement: 3–4 Saturday/Sunday shifts, 2 Fridays, and 2 Mondays per 4-week period
- Holidays: one eve and one day per holiday pair
- No call or standby requirement
- Travelers float to floor assignments approximately 1 out of every 3 shifts
- Self-scheduling with block scheduling flexibility
