Critical Care Unit (CCU) — Travel RN | Nights | Lexington, KY

This 13-week travel assignment places you in a Medical/Surgical ICU managing high-acuity patients on night shift. The unit is staffed with a dedicated charge nurse (no patient assignment) and has intensivist and hospitalist coverage in-house around the clock.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW)
• 6 weekends per scheduling period; 3 winter holidays required
• Self-scheduling available
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call or standby requirement

Clinical Scope

• Medical/Surgical ICU patient population
• RNs titrate sedation and cardiac medication drips
• Ventilator and BiPAP management; RNs expected to troubleshoot respiratory equipment when respiratory therapy is not immediately at bedside
• RNs read and interpret their own telemetry strips
• Float requirement applies

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active RN license (willing to wait for state licensure)
• BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Previous ICU nursing experience required
• BSN not required
