Stepdown Unit RN – Night Shift

The Opportunity

The facility's stepdown unit is seeking an RN for 12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM). This 13-week contract offers 48 guaranteed hours per week with a start date of November 6, 2026.

Unit Overview

Clinical Scope

This role requires strong medical-surgical stepdown experience with the ability to:

• Titrate drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, Esmolol, Heparin, Lasix) per MD orders
• Interpret and chart telemetry rhythms every 4 hours (or more frequently with medication titration)
• Manage patients on BiPAP and tracheostomy (no mechanical ventilation)

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong MedSurg stepdown background
• Ability to read cardiac strips and titrate medications

Schedule & Expectations

• Night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Floating is very rare
• No on-call requirement
• 2 shifts cancellation per 13-week contract
• 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation

Royal blue scrubs. Charting via standard hospital system.
