Medical Technologist – Hematology (Night Shift)
Position Overview
The facility's hematology laboratory is seeking a Medical Technologist for the coagulation and urinalysis section, working night shifts. This is a 26-week contract with guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Schedule & Commitment
- Shift: 10-hour nights, 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Block Schedule: 8 on, 6 off (Wednesday through Wednesday)
- Weekends & Holidays: Required
- Start Date: November 6, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Perform coagulation and urinalysis testing in hematology
- Operate laboratory instrumentation and systems accurately
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
- Work independently after four-week dayshift orientation and training
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
- Certification as Medical Technologist (MT) via ASCP or Medical Technologist via AMT
- West Virginia High Complexity Testing Personnel (HCTP) License or Trainee License
- No direct patient contact; no phlebotomy required
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with coagulation analyzers (Werfen Tops 500/750)
- Urinalysis analyzer experience (Iris systems)
- Laboratory information system proficiency
Dress Code
Scrubs or business casual; no open-toed shoes.
Cancellation Policy
Two shifts per 13-week assignment may be cancelled.
