Registered Nurse – Med/Surg
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg unit. You will deliver coordinated nursing care to an assigned group of patients, supervise and direct nursing staff activities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team. This role requires critical thinking, professional judgment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans based on nursing process standards
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned nursing staff
- Implement evidence-based interventions and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes
- Provide health education to patients and families
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and foster a collaborative healthcare environment
- Respond to acute patient needs on a busy Med/Surg unit
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Current BLS certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- BSN preferred
Schedule & Expectations
Night shift with guaranteed 36 hours weekly. This is a standard employment assignment with full facility orientation and support.
