ICU Registered Nurse — Night Shift | Simi Valley, CA

A Southern California inpatient facility is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract. This is a night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 guaranteed hours).

Unit Overview

The ICU team manages high-acuity patients across a broad clinical scope, including post-surgical recovery, stroke, and complex medical cases. Nurses are expected to function with a high degree of critical thinking and independent judgment, coordinating care across disciplines while supervising and directing assigned nursing staff.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours
• Holiday time off will not be approved

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN license in California
• BLS (from an approved vendor)
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Charting system proficiency required — candidates without prior experience in a comparable electronic health record system may not be considered
