Operating Room Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility's Operating Room is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a surgical team supporting a broad range of high-acuity procedures. You'll work in a 14-room OR serving adult and geriatric patients across multiple surgical specialties.
Shift & Schedule
- 13-week contract
- Call requirement: approximately 6 weekday call shifts and 2 weekend call rotations
- Floating within scope required based on facility needs
- Scrubs provided by the facility
Required Experience & Credentials
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Strong general OR background
- Current PA RN license
- BLS and TNCC certifications
- Charge nurse experience preferred
Surgical Specialties
You'll support cases across General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Transplant services. Common procedures include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colectomy, total joint replacements, spinal fusion, carotid endarterectomy, AAA repair, and complex trauma cases.
Desired Skills
- Total joint and orthopedic experience
- Neuro surgical procedures (spinal fusion, craniotomy, laminectomy)
- Vascular procedures (carotid repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, AV fistula repair)
- High-acuity and trauma surgical case management
