Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. You'll deliver coordinated, high-acuity nursing care to assigned patients, supervise and direct nursing staff activities, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Shift & Contract Details
- Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (variable start times: 7:00 AM or 11:00 AM available)
- Hours: 36 or 48-hour work weeks
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Location: Simi Valley, California
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent emergency department or acute care experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification
- Aggression management training (TEAM, TEAM-A, or CPI)
- Electronic health record experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Essential Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze patient data; develop individualized care plans
- Implement coordinated care delivery in a safe, healing environment
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Supervise and coordinate duties of nursing and healthcare team members
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education
- Perform additional duties as assigned
