Surgical Technologist – Operating Room
Position Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate cases across multiple surgical specialties
- Maintain sterile technique and instrument management
- Assist with total joint replacements, spinal fusions, vascular repairs, and trauma surgeries
- Collaborate with surgical teams in a fast-paced, evidence-based environment
Requirements
- Current BLS and either NBSTSA or NCCT certification
- Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
- Demonstrated experience scrubbing total joints
- Experience in neuro, transplant, and vascular surgeries required
- Valid state license or certification at submission
- Valid references and certification copies required
Schedule & Expectations
- Day shift, 5 days per week (8-hour blocks)
- Call coverage only for weekends (2 weekends per 6-week period)
- 6 weekday call shifts per 6-week period
- Flexible scheduling; block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- 1 on-call holiday and 1 work holiday required during contract
Additional Information
- 16 hours of orientation provided
- Scrubs provided
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions available)
