Cardiac Cath Lab RN — Travel Contract

Burlington, NC | Days | 13-Week Contract

This Cardiac Cath Lab position supports a high-volume interventional and diagnostic program managing adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, unstable angina, CHF, sick sinus syndrome, and complete heart block.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 4×9.5-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:00 PM). No weekends or call required. Scrubs are provided.

Clinical Scope

• STEMI 24/7 activation coverage
• Diagnostic and interventional catheterizations (radial and femoral approaches)
• Right and left heart catheterizations
• Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and cardiac stent placement
• Pacemaker and Micra pacemaker insertion, ICD implantation
• IABP and Impella insertion/management
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Sheath removal, Swan-Ganz/pulmonary artery line monitoring
• 12-lead EKG acquisition and dysrhythmia interpretation

Required Certifications

ACLS, BLS, RCIS (or equivalent)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting (diagnostic and interventional)
• Proficiency with antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, emergency and reversal medications, and thrombolytics

Compliance Requirements

• Active RN license required at time of submission
• All RN candidates must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application
• Third-party education verification required
• Floating to other system campuses may be required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Orientation: 48 hours | Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: December 7, 2026
