Respiratory Therapist

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — Travel Contract

Dyersburg, TN | Days | 13-Week Contract

This travel RRT position supports a busy Respiratory Therapy department serving patients across the full lifespan — neonates through geriatrics — in an acute care setting.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (3x12)
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirement

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care based on individual patient needs
• Perform intubations across neonatal through geriatric populations
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) procedures, including arterial puncture and analysis
• Manage CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and mechanical ventilation weaning
• Responsible for EKGs on inpatient floors (excluding the ED)
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including pharmacy, rapid response, and ancillary services

Requirements

• RRT credential required; CRTs will not be accepted
• Active Tennessee Respiratory Therapist license required at time of submission
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Minimum 5 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Travel experience preferred
• Charting system proficiency required; must pass an on-site competency exam (one attempt only — failure results in contract cancellation)

Vaccinations

• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions considered

Additional Notes

• Floating may be required
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of submission; no additional RTO will be approved after submission
• 36-hour orientation
