Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nursing – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work the night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), caring for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and post-acute medical-surgical care.
Requirements
- 12 months of permanent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required
- Current, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications (active and current)
- NIHSS preferred
- One recent manager, charge nurse, or director reference strongly recommended
What You'll Do
Deliver direct patient care on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing the clinical needs of your patient population. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in ongoing professional development during your contract.
Compliance Notes
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
- ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments completed during orientation; passing score required
- Background check must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Orientation includes 6–15 hours of modules (pre-start and ongoing)
