ICU RN — 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment in a critical care setting. You'll provide direct patient care in a high-acuity environment, managing complex cases including post-cardiac-surgery patients and those requiring intensive hemodynamic support.

Schedule & Location

• Shift: Day rotation, 3×12-hour (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
• Rotation: Every other weekend included
• Location: Alexander City, AL
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• RTO Policy: Very limited; minimal time off approved during contract

Required Qualifications

• Current AL State or Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certification (current at hire)
• 1–2 years of ICU experience minimum
• Strong foundation in:
• Ventilator management
• IV drip management and titration
• IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) operation
• Post-cardiac catheterization care
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Balloon pump experience a plus

Role Expectations

• Float assignments within the hospital and nearby affiliate facilities as needed
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced critical care unit
• Manage acuity and complexity with minimal preceptorship (limited RTO available)
