Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its medical-surgical telemetry unit. You will care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, with the potential to float to related units and the emergency department. Some shifts may include patients on ventilators.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Shifts may rotate based on operational needs; the facility will make every effort to honor your preferred schedule
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 4, 2026
• Commitment to work at least every other holiday required

Requirements

• Experience: 12 months of permanent RN experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
• License: Active, permanent Ohio license or current Compact State license at time of submission
• Certifications (active and in hand):
• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (2 attempts allowed)

Background & Compliance

• Background check required; no open cases accepted
• No license hits accepted
• Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start date
• BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing

What to Expect

Orientation will include competency modules and hands-on training. You'll join a team managing cardiac and acute medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced environment.
