Labor & Delivery RN — Night Shift | Austin, TX | 13-Week Contract
This night-shift opportunity places you in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit that cares for complex maternal patients across all gestational ages — one of the highest levels of maternal care available in Texas.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- No on-call required
- 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Scope
The unit manages a broad range of obstetric cases, including:
- Vaginal and Cesarean section deliveries
- Tubal ligations
- Cerclage placement and removal
- D&C, cesarean hysterectomy (C-hyst)
- PASD cases
- High-risk maternal patients at any gestation
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience with high-risk maternal patients
- Circulating OR and experience *(non-negotiable)*
- 5+ years of L&D experience preferred

- The unit is currently undergoing renovation to refresh all patient rooms
- Supportive leadership team with long-term management presence; charge nurses and leadership actively participate in patient care when census demands
