Med/Surg RN — Nashville, TN | Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Trauma Med/Surg unit manages a diverse, higher-acuity patient population requiring skilled prioritization and hands-on clinical care. Night shift nurses are expected to handle complex medical-surgical cases with confidence and compassion.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Two weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Scope & Skills Required

• Med/Surg experience with ability to multitask and prioritize care
• IV insertion, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Delivery of bedside shift report; patient and family inclusion in care planning

Float Policy

Contract staff float first; rotation applies when multiple contract staff are scheduled.

Unit Support

• Tech support available on both day and night shifts
• Unit secretary coverage from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Required Credentials

• Active RN license
• BLS certification

Dress Code

Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)
