Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks a registered nurse for its progressive care unit on a night shift basis. This is a 13-week contract role.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
Unit Details
You'll care for patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and intervention—those stepping down from intensive care or at risk of clinical deterioration. The PCU bridges acute and general care, managing post-surgical patients, those with acute medical conditions, and patients on telemetry monitoring.
Requirements
- Current RN license (Kentucky)
- BLS certification required
- Experience in acute or intermediate care preferred
What to Expect
Night shifts in a progressive care setting demand strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate changes in patient status promptly.
