Medical/Surgical Nurse — Travel Contract | Wichita, KS
This travel nursing opportunity places you in a Medical/Surgical unit in Wichita, KS. The position involves caring for a general acute care patient population with varied acuity levels typical of a busy med/surg environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 4 x 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call obligation
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Anticipated start: November 15, 2026
Float Requirements
Candidates must be prepared to float to similar units on the same campus or to another campus within the Wichita area.
Dress Code
Ceil blue scrubs required.

Onboarding Requirements
- EKG competency exam
- Core competency assessment
- Color vision screening
- Standard immunization documentation: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap
- TB testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot)
- Respiratory fit test
- 11-panel drug screen
- Background check and EPLS clearance
- Education and employment verification
This is a seasonal contract — a strong fit for experienced med/surg nurses comfortable working across multiple units and adaptable to a fast-paced inpatient environment.
