Stepdown / Med-Surg RN — 13-Week Contract | Fairmont, WV

This 13-week night-shift contract places you on a combined Stepdown/Med-Surg unit caring for patients with respiratory issues, chest pain, AKI, UTI, and generalized weakness. The unit operates under a House Supervisor model with nurse aide support (2 per shift).

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Rotating holiday coverage
• No on-call or float requirements

Clinical Scope

• Stepdown and med-surg acuity levels
• RNs titrate drips independently — common agents include heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone
• Respiratory support: CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow therapy managed with RT
• Telemetry-monitored unit; RNs read strips

Requirements

• Current RN license (must be active prior to submission)
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
• Stepdown experience required
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Any licensing history must be disclosed at time of submission
