Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (Day Shift, 12-hour)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Unit
This stepdown role is set within a critical care service line, bridging the gap between intensive and general medical-surgical care. Nurses in this position float across the critical care service line and must be comfortable managing high-acuity, complex patients in a fast-paced environment.
Clinical Scope
You'll care for a diverse cardiovascular, vascular, and surgical patient population, including:
- Post-operative CABG, AVR, and MVR patients (POD #1)
- AAA repair, lobectomy, and carotid endarterectomy (CEA) recovery
- NSTEMI, STEMI, and ACS management
- Temporary and permanent pacemaker care
- Sepsis, GI bleeding, and respiratory failure
- Tracheostomy and post-DKA management
- HFNC and BiPAP management
- Stable drip/GTT management
Requirements
- Active RN license (verified via Nursys)
- Strong cardiovascular and vascular clinical background required
- EKG interpretation competency
- Specialty exam and core competency assessment required at onboarding
- Up-to-date immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB screening)
- Two professional references required at submission
- Skills checklist required at submission
Float Expectation
Candidates must be comfortable floating within the critical care service line.
