Blood Bank Medical Laboratory Technician
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) for its Blood Bank department. This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift & Schedule
- 4 × 10-hour PM shifts
- 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
- 40 hours per week
- On-call expectations apply
Clinical Scope
You'll perform blood banking procedures including:
- ABO/Rh typing and antibody screening
- Crossmatching for adult and neonatal patients
- Erytra Gel and Tube testing techniques
- Quality control and analyzer maintenance
Required Qualifications
- Current ASCP or AMT certification
- Experience with blood bank automation and computer systems
- Proficiency with Erytra Gel and Tube methodology
- Valid Medical Laboratory Technician license (as required by state)
