Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Three shifts per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday primary availability)
- Weeknight call: Typically one night per week (occasionally two)
- Weekend call: One weekend every 4th or 5th weekend
- 30-minute call response time
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- No floating—dedicated to the OR
The Role
You'll circulate in a high-volume surgical suite handling 10–15 cases daily across multiple specialties:
- Orthopedic: Total joint replacements, ORIFs, arthroscopic cases, spine procedures
- General Surgery: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, exploratory laparotomy, bowel resections, DaVinci Xi robotic cases, I&D procedures
- Urology: Cystoscopy, TURP, TURBT, ESWL, difficult catheter placements
- ENT: FESS, septoplasty, rhinoplasty, tonsillectomy, direct laryngoscopy
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) certification
- Minimum two years intraoperative circulating experience
- Fast learner, hardworking, able to manage OR call
- Scrubbing experience a bonus (not required)
Details
- Blue scrubs provided; surgical attire required during shifts
- Onsite unit-specific orientation with clinical coordinators and OR leadership
- No charge nurse or house supervisor duties
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start date: Late November 2026
