Med-Surg Telemetry RN — Philadelphia, PA | Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Med-Surg Telemetry position is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on a unit serving adolescent and adult patients with an average daily census of approximately 50. Primary patient populations include stroke and general post-surgical Med-Surg cases.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• One pre-approved time-off request permitted per contract; block scheduling is not available

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• Community hospital experience required
• Active Pennsylvania RN license
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Preferred Experience

• Teaching hospital and Level II Trauma backgrounds preferred

Clinical Skills Required

• Cardiac telemetry (on-unit and remote monitoring), dysrhythmia management, pacemaker care
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization, post-cardiac angiogram, post-MI care, TR Band management
• Heparin protocols; non-titratable cardiac and vasoactive drip management; PCA
• Central line management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV insertion/maintenance
• Continuous bladder irrigation, pre/post hemodialysis, renal failure and renal transplant care
• CVA, intracranial bleed, post-tPA, TBI, seizure, spinal cord injury, and substance withdrawal management
• Chest tube, HFNC, tracheostomy care, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration
• Feeding tube management; wound care and wound vac
