Emergency Department Registered Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a day shift position working 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) with a 13-week contract.

Shift & Scheduling

• Day shifts only; no on-call duties
• Every other weekend required
• Float flexibility within the hospital as needed
• Expect to work 2 of 3 major upcoming holidays
• 16-hour orientation included

Required Qualifications

• Current California RN license
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• BSN preferred

Clinical Scope

You'll provide care to a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The ED sees a broad range of acute presentations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Central line care and management
• Continuous IV sedation monitoring
• Care of ventilated patients
• and isolation precautions
• IV vasopressor and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Arterial blood gas interpretation

San Leandro, CA (75-mile radius rule applies)
