• 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Unit Overview

This high-acuity Surgical ICU cares for a complex patient population across General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery specialties. The team operates within a close-knit multidisciplinary model, managing critically ill patients who may require advanced acute therapies, hemodynamic support, and specialized post-operative care.

Candidate Requirements

• Active RN license (Massachusetts or compact)
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience; Telemetry experience also required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA-issued)
• Strong proficiency in medications and dysrhythmia interpretation — a pass/fail competency assessment is administered on Day 1
• Previous candidates who have worked at this facility in any capacity (permanent, per diem, or contract) must have a minimum 6-month separation prior to consideration

This is a focused, non-float role for an experienced critical care nurse comfortable with high-acuity surgical and post-operative patients. Candidates should come prepared for a rigorous onboarding assessment from day one.
