Med/Surg Telemetry — Emergency Department Boarding | Night Shift

Burlington, MA | 13-Week Contract

This role supports a high-volume emergency department by caring for medical/surgical telemetry patients awaiting inpatient placement. The unit manages an average of 40 boarding patients daily, requiring strong organizational skills and comfort with a fast-paced, fluctuating census.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Clinical Scope

• Med/surg telemetry patient population in an ED boarding environment
• Continuous telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Experience caring for boarder patients in the ED is required — please reflect this clearly on your resume

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Day 1 telemetry testing required; must pass within 2 attempts during onboarding compliance
• Minimum 1–2 years of med/surg telemetry experience with ED boarding exposure

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
