Med Surg Tele

This Med/Surg Telemetry contract position is a rotating days/nights role based in Burlington, MA. Shifts run 12 hours (7:00 PM–7:30 AM or 7:00 AM–7:30 PM), rotating in 4-week blocks, with 72 guaranteed hours biweekly.

Schedule & Availability

• 13-week contract beginning November 30, 2026
• Weekly start dates (Mondays)
• Every other weekend required (day weekends: Saturday/Sunday; night weekends: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• No holiday time off approved during the Christmas period

Clinical Scope

The unit serves a mixed medical-surgical and telemetry patient population across a range of acuity levels. Nurses are expected to float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as needed. Floating occurs in 4-hour blocks during the shift.

Certifications

• BLS (AHA) — required
• ACLS (AHA) and NIHSS — preferred

Requirements

• Prior experience in a high-acuity acute care environment strongly preferred; candidates without prior travel experience must have high-acuity trauma-level background
• Day-one pass/fail clinical competency testing will be administered
• Minimum 6-month separation from any prior role at this facility (permanent, per diem, or contract) required for eligibility
