MedSurg/Telemetry | Night Shift | Rochester, NY | 13-Week Contract

This travel opportunity is on a high-volume MedSurg/Telemetry unit in Rochester, NY. The position involves floating between two distinct clinical areas, so candidates must be comfortable managing varied patient populations.

Unit Overview

One unit focuses on cardiovascular patients, including those with CHF, acute MI, arrhythmias, and post-device care such as pacemaker management. The second unit serves general surgery patients, including colorectal procedures, ostomy care, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and breast procedures.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating between units is required

Requirements

• Active New York RN license — must be in hand at time of submission; no exceptions
• Minimum 1 year of MedSurg/Tele experience
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required (valid NIHSS must be included with submission)
• ACLS required
• Electronic charting experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Clinical Skills

• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Blood product administration
• Peripheral line care
• Non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration
• Wound care/wound vac
• Isolation precautions/PPE
• Rapid response and code team participation

• Scrubs: Any combination of navy and white
