Med Surg Tele

RN – Medical/Surgical Telemetry | Night Shift | Rochester, NY

This 13-week night shift contract places you on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit providing care to acute care patients with cardiac and general medical diagnoses. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required, as needed

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 1, 2026
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York Single State RN license required (NY is not a Compact state; no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS required
• NIHSS certification required

Clinical Skills Required

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Rapid Response/Code team activation
• Peripheral IV care and management; phlebotomy
• Oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Blood product administration and heparin protocols
• Isolation precautions/PPE
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience; must have worked in acute care within the past 6 months

Unit Details

• Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit; specific unit assignment provided at time of offer
• Floating required within Med/Surg skillset
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy blue and white

Additional Requirements

• Charting system proficiency is a hard requirement
• Requested time off must be submitted at time of application; no more than 10 days of RTO permitted
• Pre-start modules required (completion details provided at orientation)
