Night Shift Emergency Department RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its Emergency Department on a 16-week contract. You'll work nights (19:00–07:00), three 12-hour shifts per week, in a fast-paced environment serving a diverse patient population across all age groups.
Schedule & Time Off
- Night shift: 3 days per week
- Every other weekend
- No call required
- Up to 7 days of approved time off per contract
- Must work major holidays as follows: one holiday if one falls during assignment; both if two fall during assignment; two of three if three fall during assignment
Clinical Scope
This is a high-volume ED managing acute and critical presentations including:
- Chest pain and acute coronary syndromes (STEMI)
- Stroke (primary stroke center)
- Heart failure exacerbations
- Trauma (Level 3)
- Telemetry monitoring
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (first-time travelers welcome)
- Current RN license (Georgia or Compact)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI
- Telemetry competency exam required
Floating
As needed, within scope of practice and facility guidelines.
