Emergency Department RN — Knoxville, TN

Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 3x12-Hour | 13-Week Contract

This high-acuity emergency department role is ideal for experienced ED nurses comfortable managing a fast-paced, diverse patient population across all age groups. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio that demands strong prioritization and clinical judgment.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Guaranteed 36 hours/week
• Block scheduling considered; RTO requests reviewed at interview
• Local candidates accepted

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience (first-time travelers considered based on background)
• Active Tennessee RN license or compact license — must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• 2 professional references (may be pending at submission)

Preferred

• CEN certification (preferred, not required)

Additional Details

• Floating within clinical scope may be required to meet unit needs
• No on-call required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Brief orientation modules (non-billable, typically 2–4 hours) completed onsite during orientation
