Case Management – Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Case Manager for a 13-week assignment in an acute hospital setting. You'll work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with no on-call duties.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Case Management experience
- AHA BLS certification (required)
- First-time travelers welcome
- Permanent residence must be 100+ miles from the facility
Key Responsibilities
You'll manage adult patient cases with a typical ratio of 22 patients, handling:
- Admission criteria and discharge planning
- Prior authorizations and appeals/denials
- Care coordination across interdisciplinary teams
- Medical necessity determinations and DRG review
- Needs assessment and DME ordering
- Plan of care development
- Full compliance with CMS and HIPAA guidelines
Schedule & Flexibility
Monday–Friday, day shift. The facility may call off one shift per pay period without penalty if census decreases. Additional shifts above your commitment can be picked up as needed.
Orientation
General orientation begins on Sunday with online modules (16 hours non-billable). You can start any Sunday once compliance is complete.
Compliance Notes
- Relias EKG testing required within 72 hours of signing (two attempts allowed)
- Drug screening within 12–14 days prior to start
- Facial hair must be trimmed/removed for fit testing
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
