Blood Bank Technologist – 13-Week Assignment
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Blood Bank Technologist to join the laboratory team. You'll perform blood banking procedures for adult and neonatal patients, working with specialized testing systems and analyzers.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Every other weekend included
- On-call duties expected
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood banking assays and testing protocols
- Operate blood bank analyzers and automated systems
- Manage specimen processing, testing, and result reporting
- Support both routine and urgent transfusion medicine needs
Requirements
- ASCP or AMT certification (Medical Laboratory Technologist or Technician)
- Blood bank experience preferred
- Ability to work a consistent early morning shift with weekend rotation
