Echocardiographer – Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Echocardiographer for a 13-week travel assignment in a busy cardiac imaging department. You'll work day shift in a fast-paced environment serving a diverse patient population.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 3 × 12-hour (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- 13-week contract
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
Clinical Scope
You'll perform a full range of echocardiographic studies, including:
- Routine transthoracic echocardiography
- 3-D echo imaging
- Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
- Pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo
- Bubble studies
- Contrast-enhanced imaging
- Right ventricular inflow and outflow tract assessment
Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with daily census of 8–10.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience (2+ years preferred)
- Current certifications: ARDMS, BLS, and either CCI or RDCS-Adult or ARRT-Sonography
- Valid compact state license at time of submission
- Two professional references (covering 1 year within last 3 years)
- Willingness to float to nearby sister facilities as needed
Important
Travelers may be asked to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in assignment termination. All time-off and scheduling requests must be specified before offer acceptance.
