Hospice Nurse – Grand Junction, CO
Position Overview
Join the hospice care team at a compassionate care facility in Grand Junction. You'll provide intensive end-of-life nursing care in a home-like setting, supporting patients and families during their most meaningful moments.
About the Role
As a hospice nurse, you'll be a clinical generalist with specialized expertise in symptom management and comfort care. Your responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care focused on physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support
- Conducting thorough assessments and demonstrating critical thinking in complex palliative situations
- Educating patients and families about goals of care and building caregiver confidence
- Working in an environment that prioritizes personalized, compassionate care
Schedule & Commitment
- Shift: Rotating nights (7 PM–7 AM), 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- On-call: 2 shifts per month
- Contract: 12 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Orientation: 3 days (8 AM–5 PM) prior to night shift rotation
Qualifications
- Current RN license (Colorado)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work rotating night shifts
- Flexibility for on-call responsibilities
