Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: Every other weekend required

About the Role
Join the Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse providing care to patients across a wide spectrum of acuity levels and presentations. You will practice independently while maintaining awareness of complex clinical situations, deliver both routine and complex care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor effectiveness and side effects
- Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to support clinical workflows
- Meet organizational competency standards for clinical and professional practice
Requirements
- License: Current RN license in Texas or compact state
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC required
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Experience: 1 year in a related nursing specialty preferred
- Orientation: New hire orientation within first 30 days; precepted by designated staff member with competency validation
