Med Surg Tele

Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Travel Contract | Greensboro, NC

Nights | 3x12 | 26-Week Contract | Start: December 7, 2026

This telemetry-capable Med/Surg unit primarily serves a general medical-surgical patient population. The unit is posted with a telemetry designation due to a mandatory EKG competency requirement for all RNs. Travelers must pass an EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts allowed).

Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Charge RN shifts required as needed
• Float to other campuses within the health system as needed

Clinical Scope

• Blood product administration
• Peripheral line care and IV starts
• Heparin, insulin, and PCA management
• Nasal cannula oxygen delivery
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Wound care, feeding tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, surgical drains, PICC line management

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Previous Charge RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

• RTO must be submitted with application; no post-submission requests accepted
• Background check must have no open cases
• Third-party education verification required
