Float Pool – Medical-Surgical & Stepdown
Location: Birmingham, AL
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Position Overview
The facility seeks experienced RNs for a float pool role covering medical-surgical and stepdown units. You'll provide care across both settings, moving flexibly between units based on daily census and acuity needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in medical-surgical and/or stepdown settings
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Previous stepdown contract or permanent stepdown position required; ICU RNs are not considered for this role
- Active RN license
- BLS and/or ACLS certification (American Heart Association) as required by specialty
Clinical Environment
Candidates must be comfortable transitioning between acuity levels and unit-specific workflows.
